Evan Muffly
President
Evan Muffly leads SCG with a proven track record of structuring and managing over 250 captives across U.S. and offshore markets. His expertise spans feasibility studies, underwriting, and strategic risk management, making him a trusted advisor to clients globally. Before joining SCG, Evan worked at Marsh, where he managed risk programs for Fortune 500 companies.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Business, Wake Forest University
Fun Fact: Evan is an avid golfer and enjoys exploring Pittsburgh with his wife and three children.
John Yaple
Senior Vice President
As Senior Vice President, John Yaple drives SCG’s marketing and business development efforts, helping businesses access innovative captive insurance solutions. With experience managing over 100 captives across U.S. and offshore jurisdictions, John excels in program development and client relationships.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Duquesne University; MBA, Point Park University
Fun Fact: Outside of the office, John values time with his growing family, enjoys traveling to new destinations, and focused on maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle.
Josh Stoll
Vice President, Group Captives
Josh Stoll is responsible for the growth of our existing group captive programs and any new group programs launched at SCG. Josh has managed group captive programs for more than 15 years and enjoys educating on the advantages of alternative risk financing.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Finance, Miami University MBA, Cleveland State University
Fun Fact: Josh and his wife, live in Ohio with their three kids and a Boxer. In his free time (ha!) Josh enjoys golfing, fishing and snowboarding.
